Tegan & Sara, Live! (Part 1)

Tegan & Sara, twin sisters from Calgary, now an international touring band with devoted fans all over the world, returned home for a stripped-down show this summer, in the intimate space of Theatre Junction's Grand. It's a more relaxed, slower paced show than what you'd hear at a big festival, or a large venue like the Jubilee. Tegan & Sara take lots of time to chat with the audience and banter back and forth, and their stories are very funny.

They're also very generous with the audience, staying out onstage for about two hours without a break. So we'll hear the show in two parts -- the first half this week, with Part 2 next Saturday, September 24th. Enjoy!!!

Plus, here's an opportunity for Alberta Musicians.
Calgary's Epcor Centre runs a festival called the Transcanada Alberta Music Series; a four-day series of concerts by Alberta songwriters and bands that happens every March.

They've put out a call for musicians who'd like to play the 2012 festival, people who are actively pursuing a career in music as a singer-songwriter -- or with a band.
