New Music and Welcome Returns

Here's what's in store on the Key of A for the next two Saturdays.
August 27: Lots of new music this week, including a heartfelt postcard from the road from the Edmonton band F&M, called Wish You Were Here; a debut from Jamie Flegg, who recently relocated to Calgary from Ontario, just in time to release his album, Life Science; and the return after 15 years of Edmonton's Idyl Tea.
Contributor Chris Dela Torre brings us the story of Done on Bradstreet, a Calgary band that released their first album this summer -- exactly 41 years after recording it!
Plus, we relive some of the best moments at both the Calgary and Edmonton Folk Music Festivals, where kd lang and the Siss Boom Bang played fabulous shows to adoring home audiences.
September 3: A live performance by Edmonton's 100 Mile House, recorded especially for the Key of A, at Communitea in Canmore; plus songs of travel and longing for home on new albums from The Travelling Mabels and Cam Penner.
