The RCMP are investigating after a fight on twitter sparked a real fight earlier this week. At least 5 Kamloops high school students have been suspended as a result of the fight.  Students at Valleyview secondary say 5 grade 10 students ganged up on a grade 9 student.
Superintendent Terry Sullivan says students need to know there are consequences to their actions. Sullivan says the school district can only do so much to stop students from sending hateful messages to each other. He says parents need to be aware of what their kids are doing with their smart phones during and after school.

Legal injunction filed against City of Williams Lake

The Cariboo Regional District has applied for a legal injunction against the City of Williams Lake. The Injunction is designed to force the city honour its offer to continue providing fire protection services to fringe area residents. The offer was voted on and accepted by the residents but Williams Lake pulled it off the table. Officials with The CRD say they filed the injunction because they need to ensure that fire protection services are not terminated by the city.
Trans Canada Highway still closed in Fraser Canyon

The Trans Canada highway is still closed from Boston Bar to Lytton because of the high risk of an Avalanche. It's unclear when it will be open again as highway officials are still assessing the long stretch of road. With new snow falling yesterday and overnight its making it more difficult to assess the risk. The Coquihalla Highway and highway 8 are the recommended alternate routes.
