Kamloops kids enjoy special needs hockey

A program run by the city lets special needs kids hit the ice to play hockey (CBC).

Kids with special needs have to do a whole lot of stick handling to make it through life.

Usually ice time has never been on their radar.

That is, until now.

The City of Kamloops is offering Saturday morning hockey for kids with special needs.

It's been a huge hit.

Daybreak host Shelley Joyce slid into the Interior Savings Centre for a visit with some of the families involved.
