Carriage suites, granny suites, or whatever you want to call them, those little houses built in someone's backyard are becoming more popular in Kamloops.

But while one person may see them as a practical way of living, a neighbor could see it as a towering monster that wrecks privacy.

This week a carriage suite which was rejected earlier by Kamloops city council was back for a second try.

So, great way of creating affordable housing?

Or destroyer of the urban dream?
