Companion dog dearly missed

Tera is shown here in this photo taken in July (Dave Eagles/Kamloops This Week).
Louise Walden and her ten-year-old golden retriever Tera used to walk the same route every day, up to Hugh Allen Drive about half a block west of Highway 5A .

It's relatively well-lit. There's a grassy boulevard where the dog could wander and sniff.

Louise was strategic about where she crossed the street. She walks with a cane so timing is paramount.

On November 22nd at about 4:30 p.m. the unthinkable happened.

Louise crossed the street, as she did every day with her dog on a leash.

A vehicle came out of nowhere.

Louise Walden takes us back to the fateful afternoon.
