Former highways ministers says public is best

NDP MLA Harry Lali

Earlier this week we heard from B.C.'s minister of highways.

Mary Polak said B.C. highways are a safe as possible given the extreme weather we sometimes get.

Harry Lali begs to differ.

He is the NDP MLA for the Fraser-Nicola riding, which includes the city of Merritt.

Lali was also the Highways Minister for three years when the NDP was in government in the late 1990s.

Daybreak host Shelley Joyce spoke with Harry Lali on a personal trip to India.
