A convicted fraudster is the man behind a search for First Nations talent, including people from near Kamloops.

His website claims people from remote communities could vie to win big cash and a chance to be Canada's next big star.

But the contest may not be quite as advertised.

CBC investigative reporter Natalie Clancy has been looking into the convicted fraudster behind the talent search and she speaks with Daybreak host Shelley Joyce.
