High avalanche danger in parts of B.C.

The Canadian Avalanche Centre has issued warnings for several mountain ranges in B.C.

A high danger rating has been posted for the Sea-to-Sky, North Columbia, the Monashees and Selkirks, the South Columbia, and Kootenay Boundary regions.

So, would you know what to do if you or a friend was caught in an avalanche?

Brad Harrison is Professional member of the Canadian Avalanche Association and is teaching a free course, Avalanche 101, at True Outdoors at 7:30 p.m. PT Wednesday night.

He tells host Shelley Joyce how to prepare and respond to avalanche risk.
