Kamloops looks overseas for workers

Venture Kamloops is hoping foreign workers can help fill the need of some local businesses (Paul Townsend/Flickr).

Are you a civil engineer looking for work?

A geologist, or laboratory analyst?

Or how about a truck driver or tandoori chef?

About 15 companies in Kamloops are looking for help, but they can't seem to find it, at least not here.

Venture Kamloops, the city's economic development office, sent a recruiter to a couple of job fairs.

Mike O'Reilly is just back from Paris and Brussels.
