Verdict in Peachland murder trial reached

An 18 year old West Kelowna woman has been found guilty of killing Ashlee Hyatt. Hyatt bled to death at a teen drinking party in Peachland two years ago. On Sunday a jury acquitted her of second degree murder, but found her guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter. The victim's family and friends burst into tears of joy when they heard the verdict.

Should he stay or should he go?

Clover the spirit bear has inspired yet another petition. However this time the petition is to keep the rare kermode bear at the BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops. The petition has over 50 people pushing to keep the bear at the park. Other petitions from animal rights groups like Life Force have argued Clover should be set free. But it has been argued that Clover has become too habituated to humans and their food to survive in the wild.

Missing Williams Lake teen

The Williams Lake RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for a 14 year old boy who has gone missing. Police say Craig Charleyboy was last seen in Williams Lake. He is described as 5 foot 6, 146 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a slight build. Contact the police if you know of his whereabouts.
