Teen guilty of manslaughter in Ashlee Hyatt death

An 18-year-old woman has been found guilty of manslaughter in the death of Ashlee Hyatt.

Hyatt died in June 2010, after bleeding to death from a stab wound to her neck-area during a drunken fight at party in Peachland, B.C.

The young woman charged in her death was on trial for second degree murder. The jury aquitted her of murder, but she was found guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Daybreak's Brady Strachan was in the courtroom Sunday when the verdict came down, and explained what that was like, to host Shelley Joyce.
