Students draw on history to inspire art

These are some examples of paintings done by South Kamloops Secondary School (images courtesy SKSS).
Two classes of Grade 11 and 12 arts students at South Kamloops Secondary School were given an assignment.

They were encouraged to reflect on  Kamloops' geography and landmarks, and to think about how these features define us.

When handed a paint brush and some acrylics the teens let their creativity run wild.

The results are on display in the lobby of the Sagebrush Theatre through December.

Host Shelley Joyce dropped by to take a look and met up with student Helena Markin.
