Pool cue attack victim in critical but stable condition

The victim of an attack at Cactus Jacks night club, Saturday night, remains in critical but stable condition at Royal Inland hospital. Kamloops RCMP say the 28 year old man was hit in the head with a pool cue. The 26 year old man who allegedly hit him has been charged with aggravated assault. He has been released on a 10 thousand dollar bail and made to surrender his passport and promise not to leave the province. 

Dix backs Obama

One of the two men who want to be Premier of this province is hoping Barack Obama wins today's Presidential election. With the spring election approaching, NDP Leader Adrian Dix says he wants the campaigning here to be different from the negative campaigns being seen south of the border.

Kamloops RCMP help heavy metal band

A Montreal heavy metal band has the Kamloops RCMP to thank. Police managed to recover 3 expensive guitars that had been stolen from the band, Endast, last Wednesday. The person who stole them has yet to be found and no charges have been laid. Band members are said to be thrilled that there instruments were found.
