It's taken nearly four years but RCMP investigators have arrested two people for the 2008 murder of Tyler Myers in Salmon Arm. Myers was found in the yard of the Bastion Elementary where he died of a gunshot wound. Police say Tyler knew the two people accused off his murder and this was not a random attack. The now 20 year old male and 21 year old female both from Salmon Arm have been charged with first degree murder.

Lower Mainland bomb investigations ongoing

Transit police now confirm a suspicious item turned in at New Westminster skytrain station Monday night was not an explosive. Turns out it was just a metal pipe, wrapped in electrical tape, with a wooden dowel inside. RCMP explosives experts spent the evening testing the object. Trains skipped the station for a half hour. And there is no new information on a suspicious package that forced the evacuation of more than a dozen homes in Delta yesterday. Delta Police and the RCMP bomb squad blew up the football sized package.
