Kamloops RCMP say the driver who hit and killed a 66 year old woman Wednesday, was driving while his license was prohibited. The woman died after being hit by a pick up truck while walking north to south in a downtown crosswalk. She was dead by the time she was taken to Royal Inland hospital. Police say drugs and alcohol are not factors in the crash. No decision has been made on if the driver will be charged for driving while prohibited and failing to yield for a pedestrian.

Williams Lake RCMP looking for missing man

The Williams Lake RCMP are asking the public to be on the lookout for Eddie William. Police say the 20 year old is at risk as he functions at the level of a 12 year old due to a variety of mental health issues. William was last seen in the Roberts Drive and Dog Creek area at 5 Wednesday night. RCMP say they are concerned as Eddie William could be with people involved in the drug trade. They say he is easily manipulated and can become violent without his prescribed medication. He is described as 5'10, with Black hair, Brown eyes, and blue jeans and a grey sweater. RCMP are asking all Williams Lake rural property owners to search any outbuildings as he may have found shelter overnight.
