Charges pending against Kamloops driver

Charges are pending against a driver who hit a woman in her 50's with a car Sunday. Kamloops RCMP say the driver wasn't paying attention and swerved to the side of the road hitting the woman. The woman suffered a head injury and is in hospital in stable condition.

Marijuana advocates in B.C. are watching the U.S. election closely. They're waiting to see where voters in Washington stand on a referendum that would make marijuana legal. Pro pot crusader Dana Larsen says if it passes it would help his campaign to have marijuana decriminalized here in B.C.

Proposed school closures upsets parents in Cariboo Chilcotin


A plan to close 5 schools in the Cariboo has some parents turning to the internet to rally support. Kirk Dressler and a number of parents have created a website www.savebcschools.com. Dressler says if the schools are closed it will not only affect the kids but it will also affect the economy. The district says the closures are needed as there is a large budget shortfall.
