Gaza conflict stressful for Israel-watcher

Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza have clashed in recent days with a series of airstrikes and rocket attacks, amid threats of a ground war. The maps below show the affected regions in Israel and Gaza as of Nov. 20, 2012 (CBC)
The conflict in Gaza continues to get more and more bloody.

At least 100 people have been killed in the last week since Israel launched attacks targeting Hamas militants.

The attacks are in response to Israel being attacked by Hamas rockets.

And the violence doesn't appear to be slowing, despite predictions for a ceasefire to come Tuesday night.

Emile Scheffel is from Kamloops, and has several close friends in Israel.

He spoke with Daybreak host Shelley Joyce from Ottawa Tuesday morning.
