Wednesday afternoon protestors in Kamloops will join a province wide day of action called "Defend Our Coast".

Demonstrators are rallying against the Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline proposal, and the plan to bring oil from the Alberta tar sands to oil tankers on the B.C. coast.

The rally in Kamloops will feature a well known Canadian activist.

Maude Barlow is the national chairperson of the Council of Canadians.

She speaks with host Shelley Joyce.
