Kamloops CanGo Grannies still going strong

It all started with a Thompson Rivers University lecture by Stephen Lewis about the plight of grandmothers in Africa.

The story struck a chord with Kamloops women (many of them grandmothers themselves), and a group formed to help raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

The Kamloops CanGo Grannies have been meeting and raising money ever since they jumped into action in 2004.

Host Shelley Joyce recently popped in to see one of their meetings. Here's what she heard:

There is a regional Grannies meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at St. Paul's Cathedral. Stephen Lewis' daughter Ilana Landsberg Lewis will be a guest speaker.
