The provincial government is in the middle of trying to find a better way to do forestry.

Mountain pine beetle killed so much of our forests, that we will have a big tree deficit once pine beetle trees can't be harvested.

Associate producer Josh Pagé joins Shelley Joyce in studio with a story about how Logan Lake thinks it has part of the answer to the province's timber problems.

The story starts with Logan Lake's community forest manager inspecting a tree killed by the mountain pine beetle.
