Death on Tk'emlups reserve investigated

The Southeast district major crimes unit is investigating a suspicious death on the Tk'emlups reserve. A woman's body was found inside a home and a male suspect was taken into custody on Saturday night. Police say the death may be related to a domestic dispute.

Up to a thousand opponents of the Northern Gateway pipeline project will gather in protest at the B.C. legislature today. Organizers are hoping for a big turnout to send a message to both levels of government that British Columbians don't want the pipeline.

Former head of the B.C. G.E.U., George Heyman, has won the nomination to represent the B.C. NDP in the next provincial election for the riding of Vancouver Fairview. He beat out high profile Vancouver city councilor Geoff Meggs for the nomination.
