The dangers of sitting too long

Adults who sit for long periods may face a higher risk of Type 2 diabetes than individuals who move around more often, says a new study (Deutsche Fotothek‎/Wikimedia Commons)
According to a new study out of the UK , sitting for long periods of time increases your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

To talk about the harmful effects of sitting and what can be done to avoid them, host Shelley Joyce talks to Travis Saunders.

He's a PhD candidate at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and researches the health impact of sedentary behavior.
