Landlord's HST Struggles

Posted by Bill van Asperen

KerryDuggan.jpgKerry Duggan , a Charlottetown landlord wants IRAC to allow her to raise the rent more than the 2% approved this year, because she says HST has increased  heating costs. Laura Chapin talked to the director of residential rental property for IRAC, Cathy Flanagan, and she said if a landlord is not covering their costs, if they're in the red, an application for a higher than approved increase will be considered.
