Vandals Strike Camp Again - RCMP Investigating

CampVandalism.jpgA children's camp in Canoe Cove has been hit by vandals three times this year. It's going to cost Camp Keir hundreds of dollars to replace a ruined shed. RCMP are now investigating, and the camp is considering security cameras.

Last fall, the soccer field was torn up. Earlier this summer, the camp's hand-painted four- by-six foot sign was destroyed. We talked to Amelia Campbell, chair of programming and registration for the camp.

RCMP Seize ATVs - Sparks Public Meeting

ATVs.jpgThe community of Alberton is struggling with regulations surrounding off-road vehicles. RCMP say there have been too many all-terrain-vehicles driving in illegal areas. That's prompted a "crackdown" and a dozen ATV's have recently been seized. We spoke with RCMP Corporal Scott Lundrigan and Alberton Town Councillor Natasha Dunn. Both will be taking part in an information meeting this evening in Alberton.
