Changes To Regulations For Medical Marijuana

RegulateMedicalMarijuanaIM20130306.jpgThe Federal government is looking to regulate who sells medical marijuana in Canada. Right now, patients can grow their own marijuana, buy from a designated grower OR from Health Canada. But the Government is proposing to allow only commercially-regulated growers to sell the plant. On average, patients pay about 2 dollars a gram but it's estimated the price will increase to about 7-8 dollars. Kat Murphy from Charlottetown has been using medical marijuana for a few years. Island Morning's Julia Cook spoke with Kat Murphy about her experiences with medical marijuana...and what she thinks of these proposed changes.
