Student Loan Security Breach Update - Amanda Thoy

Student Privacy Breach 3.jpgIt's been almost a month since more than half a million Canadians with student loans learned about a major security breach involving their private information. Amanda Thoy of Charlottetown is one of those affected.  The UPEI graduate has been at the forefront of this story. Her Facebook page has more 33-hundred members across Canada. Amanda says Human Resources and Skills Development Canada has mishandled the privacy breach over the past month.  For example, her group has learned there are other Canadians outside the six-year period from 2000 to 2006 that have been affected. As well, HRSDC has mailed notification letters to the wrong people. Amanda Thoy joined Mitch Cormier in the studio.
