And the winner is....

During Canada Reads: Turf Wars, five celebrity panelists will determine Canada's must-read title for 2013. As always, there will be four one-hour-long impassioned discussions in front of live audiences. The debates will air on CBC Radio One, CBC Books, CBC's documentary channel, and for the first time on CBC-TV. To hear the debates on CBC Radio One, tune in today at 11 a.m.

And it's time now to announce the winner in our P.E.I. Battle of the Books....our own Island version of Canada Reads-Turf Wars.

teamupei.jpgAnd the winner....selected by audience vote is....Two Solitudes by Hugh MacLennan! Congratulations to the championiong team from UPEI Student Union - Kate VanGerven, Danielle MacDonald, Jonathan Millington, Chelsea Merry, and Daniel MacDonald.

 

 

nativecouncil.jpgCongratulations as well to the team from the Native Council of P.E.I., championing Indian Horse by Richard Wagamese who came a close second. Team members are Nora Richard, Wade MacRae, Lynn Bradley, and Eileen Conway-Martin.

 

 

Thanks to all of the Prince Edward Islanders who took part in the P.E.I. Battle of the Books....and to Lindsay Carroll for bringing us their wonderful presentations.

At 8:20 Monday, we are also going to draw now for the winner of a complete set of 2013 Canada Reads books...and a Canada Reads book bag...
