Student Privacy Breach - Amanda Thoy
It's been a very, very busy week for Amanda Thoy of Charlottetown. She's one of the hundreds of Prince Edward Islanders with student loans worried about the fate of their private information after a major security breach. A Human Resources and Skills Development Canada office lost an external hard drive containing personal information for 583-thousand Canada Student Loan borrowers. The information includes borrowers' names, dates of birth, Social Insurance Numbers, addresses and student loan balances. Amanda Thoy joined Matt Rainnie the Island Morning studio.
