Social Media Panel - Death of Amanda Todd
Amanda Todd... it's a name that you can't outrun if you hear a newscast or spend anytime on the net. And it's a name you shouldn't ignore. Amanda Todd was 15 years old. The BC teen took her own life after posting an online video outlining her struggle with bullying. Parliament is now dealing with the issue as part of a growing call for laws to deal with bullies. The advent of social media has given bullies a new platform to keep on hurting others. Online media have also helped politicians understand the deep damage caused by bullying. That's the topic our Island Morning Social Media panel tackles this month. We welcome back to the studio Dave Cormier and Beth Johnston.
