Mike Redmond - New Democratic Party

Mike Redmond is the new leader of the New Democratic Party on Prince Edward Island. He was elected Saturday afternoon in a landslide vote, defeating Trevor Leclerc by a vote of 152 to 28. Redmond is the facilities director at Murphy's Community Centre in Charlottetown, and is also well known in the Island's soccer scene. Federal NDP Leader Tom Mulcair was on PEI over the weekend for the leadership convention. NDP leader Mike Redmond joined Matt in the studio.
