Plan B Protest - John Joe Sark
Protesters at the Plan B site in Bonshaw are into the sixth day of their camp-out. The group is at the construction site trying to prevent the rerouting of the TransCanada highway. Tree clearing began on Thursday after environmental approval for the project was granted. Last night, the protesters were joined by John Joe Sark... who is Grand Keptin of the Mi'kmaq Grand Council. He lit a ceremonial sacred fire at the site. The CBC's Stephanie VanKampen met John Joe Sark on site yesterday and asked why he is getting involved with the protests.
