The City and the Concert - Part Three

ElliottSummersideConcert33.jpgThree years ago, Summerside City Council agreed to spend millions of taxpayers dollars to bring a Michael Jackson Tribute concert to the city. They made that decision at a summer caucus meeting. In total, 1.3-million dollars was sent to a California concert promoter. But there would be no concert. And the money was gone. Dennis Hopping was hired by the city to investigate what went wrong. His full report has never been released. Brendan Elliott has been looking into why. And he joins me in the studio with part three of his series, the City and the Concert.
