The Thanksgiving weekend is a time to celebrate with family and friends. And for Karin Laronde Antolick, the celebration will be especially sweet. She is celebrating the launch of her new cookbook....called "Eating Well". Many of the recipes are based on the meals she made over a decade for her catering business in Charlottetown. She was also a regular at the Farmer's Market, until her cancer diagnosis in 2008. She is still being treated for cancer -- and one dollar from the sale of every cookbook will be donated to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. Many of us at the CBC bought meals from Karin over the years...including Island Morning producer Nancy Russell.
The books can be purchased at The Farmer's Market, Saturday Oct 6th from 3-5 and the following Saturday at the Farmer's Market (October 13) from 9-12.
After October 10, you can find them at The Root Cellar on Queen, The Bookman, The Bookmark, Moonsnail, Magnolia's at 126 Richmond St. Suite 2 (upstairs) and the Foundation office at the QEH.(Photo credit: John Sylvester Photography)
