Tourism Panel - Declining Visitors

TourismPEICBCpics.jpgDespite the sunshine, the number of visitors staying on P.E.I. continued to decline this July, compared to the same month last year. Operators sold 4.5 per cent fewer room nights. Campground stays in July were also down 1.2 per cent. And the stats show there were fewer visitors from New Brunswick and Ontario. For their take on July, as well as what the August numbers may show, we're joined by three veterans from the tourism industry. Kevin Murphy owns hotels and restaurants. Don Cudmore is Executive Director of TIAPEI, and Linda Lowther owns 3 businesses in Cavendish, including Sundance Cottages.
