Breaking New Ground - Chief Jamie Thomas
Jamie Thomas was elected chief and president of the Native Council of P.E.I. at the age of 24. She is, and has been for a while, the youngest aboriginal leader off reserve in Canada. She is now in her second term as chief. Her grandmother helped set up the Native Council and Jamie grew up going to meetings with her parents.
This morning we continue our series "Breaking New Ground" with a conversation with Chief Jamie Thomas. The CBC's Nancy Russell brings us her story.
