Mac Campbell's Journey with Cancer
Nine hundred Prince Edward Islanders a year receive the news that they have been diagnosed with cancer. Among the nine hundred is our friend and colleague Mac Campbell. The long-time correspondent for Maritime Noon based here in Charlottetown was diagnosed with cancer for the first time in 2009. And the journey continued in December, with surgery to remove a brain tumour.
Mac is a spokesperson for this year's Daffodil campaign, which is the annual fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. Lori Baker is executive director for the Cancer Society on P-E-I.
