Help Wanted on the Confederation Trail Patrol
More trail officers needed...
Trail officers say that there is evidence that all-terrain vehicles have been sneaking around gates in the Murray River-Murray Harbour sections of the Confederation Trail.
Motorized vehicles are prohibited, but Island Morning's Pat Martel snapped a photo of a motorcyclist cruising along the trail.
Frank Curley has been a volunteer trail officer for 8 years. He says there are currently just HALF the number of officers needed to properly patrol the 400-km Confederation Trail.
Pat spoke to Frank Curley about what he's seeing on the Trail. And how to best deal with the poeple who are tearing up the trail.
