PEI government unveils addictions strategy

DrRhondaMattersDougCurrie.jpgThe PEI government has announced a plan to deal with the growing problem of prescription drug abuse. The plans include everything from expanded use of the drug Suboxone, to a new methadone clinic, and more beds.

Clinical psychologist Rhonda Matters is tasked with coming up with a long-term plan...she'll be here in studio to tell us more. Kerry Campbell has the story.

Concussions Won't Stop Her - Heather Crane

HeatherCrane.jpgHeather Crane is not letting the fear of another concussion stop her from playing the sport she loves. Heather is backup keeper for the UPEI Women's soccer team.

She has suffered multiple concussions, and now wears headgear for a bit of added protection. Island Morning's Pat Martel spoke with Heather Crane and coach Lewis Page.
