Food Insecurity on PEI

FoodInsecurity.jpgPEI has the second highest percentage of children living without proper nutrition. Fresh fruits and veggies aren't affordable, and meals are being missed. Laura Chapin will tell us about a national report released this week, which shows in 2011... 15-hundred households on PEI were dealing with severe food insecurity.

Camron Abbot's Tip to Tip Fundraiser

CamronAbbotTip2Tip.jpgA few years ago, Camron Abbot lost his great uncle Brian to cancer. Now, the 11 year old is biking across PEI next week with his Mom, to raise money for cancer research. Camron's already collected more than a few pennies... in fact he's raised over 35-hundred dollars. Island Morning caught up with them this week at their home in Dunstaffanage... as Camron was getting his bike out of the shed.
