Madan Giri - Refugee rebuilds his life on PEI
After living in a refugee camp in Nepal for 16 years, Madan Giri and his family were given the chance to come to Canada to build a new life. They arrived here on a bitterly, cold, winter night in 2006. But he's not alone. Here on PEI , many refugees have found a safe place to rebuild their lives and focus on their futures. CBC's Sarah Keaveny Vos sat down with the former Bhutanese Refugee, and now proud Canadian citizen about what World Refugee Day means to him.
