This performance features sixty one-minute composition by sixty composers played by a live chamber ensemble. In this continuous hour of music, each piece is matched with a projected still image, either chosen by the composer or the performers. <p><strong>Odawa Festival of Aboriginal Culture<br /></strong>The Odawa Native Friendship Centre is hosting the <a href="http://www.odawa.on.ca/powwow.htm">Odawa Festival of Aboriginal Culture </a>May 26 and 27.&nbsp; This annual event highlights the 36th Annual Pow-Wow.&nbsp;The Festival will feature Aboriginal performances by First Nation drum groups, singers, and dancers in full regalia, Métis fiddling, jigging and storytelling, and Inuit throat singing and drumming.&nbsp; The Aboriginal performers will share their skill and cultural artistic expression with everyone. There will also be many Aboriginal artisans offering a wide variety of handcrafted wares - everything from beading, leatherwork, moccasins, and jewellery. A food court offering a wide selection of traditional Aboriginal foods will operate throughout the event.&nbsp; Children up to 12 and seniors 60 and older are free. Students 13 - 18 are $5/day. This is an event for all paddlers--canoe and kayak, new paddlers, experienced boaters and everyone in between.&nbsp; High-quality instruction, music, good food and a great paddling atmosphere. Kids paddling programs and daycare. Where possible, products and services for this event are local, fair trade, and organic. <br /></p>

<p><strong>Lilac&nbsp;Walk <br /></strong>Saturday May 19, 26, 2 pm, Central Experimental Farm<br />Take part in a guided tour along the Central Experimental Farm Lilac Walk with the <a href="http://www.friendsofthefarm.ca/">Friends of the Farm</a> Lilac Team. Discover the many varieties of lilac that the C.E.F. has to offer. Park at the Canadian Agriculture Museum, south of Prince of Wales round-about, follow signs.&nbsp; Donations are gratefully accepted.&nbsp; May 19 and 26, 2 pm. 613-230-3276.&nbsp; The Preston Lilac Walk takes place on Saturday June 2 at 2 pm.</p>

<p><strong>Canadian Association of Rwandan Youth (CARY) 1st Anniversary Gala<br /></strong>Saturday, May 19, 6 pm at the Best Western Plus Hotel Gatineau, 131 rue Laurier, Gatineau. Featuring recognition awards, cultural show, distinguished guest speaker, good food, and more. Performances by Nicole Musoni, Empress Nyiringango. The dance floor will open from 11:30 pm to 2:30am.
