Dale Jarvis is a storyteller based in St. John's, Newfoundland.   To mark the 200th anniversary of the Brothers Grimm, he is telling stories at CafĂ© Molo in Wakefield on Saturday February 11 at 7:30 pm.  Tickets can be purchased at the door for $18.

Vanier Winter Carnival On Hockey Day In Canada
This community festival will take place on Saturday, February 11, from 10 am to 2 pm at Richelieu Park (300 Des Peres Blancs Avenue, in Vanier). Many free outdoor activities will be offered, including: hockey on the rink, snow wonderland sculpture building, crafts and other children's and youth activities. Pancakes, hotdogs and beverages will be available at the Sugar Shack at a low price. All are welcome.

Flutes on Fire!
Saturday February 11, 8 pm at First Unitarian Congregation, 30 Cleary Ave.  Flutists Jeffrey Stonehouse and Diana Lam, together with pianist Matthew Walton are kicking off their concert tour with this performance of Flutes on Fire! Spanning the Baroque to the contemporary, Flutes on Fire! attempts to showcase a variety of flute repertoire, including composers such as Bach, Shostakovich, Jolivet and Ian Clarke. The program also includes the world premiere of a piece by Canadian composer Christopher Thornborrow. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and  $40 for a family of 4.  Available at the door.

Eat, Pray, Love in Italy

Luca Spaghetti is the author of Un Amico Italiano - Eat, Pray, Love in Italy.  On Friday February 10, Luca will host a Sweet Valentine's evening of storytelling, music and Italian desserts at St. Anthony's Banquet Hall.  On Saturday February 11, he will be talking about romance, Roman style at DiVino Wine Studio.   Tickets are still available for both evenings.
