Westboro Cuts for Cancer
Meredith Barwin and Isabel Estabrook are grade 10 students at Nepean High School. They have organized Westboro Cuts for Cancer, happening on Saturday January 12 at the Dovercourt Recreation Centre, 411 Dovercourt Ave., from 12 - 3 pm. There will be two volunteer hairdressers who will give a cut and style to each donor.
All funds go to Angels Hair for Kids. The goal is to raise enough hair donations and money to make one child's wig. It takes ten to twelve 10 inch pony tails to make one child's wig, and each wig costs $800-$1000.
Cash donations will be accepted in lieu of hair. There will be a raffle with prizes donated from Westboro businesses. Go to the fundraiser's Facebook page for more information.
