What's more pleasing than those perfect summertime peas? Kid's love 'em, adults too (we get nostalgic about them, don't we?) and they are so, so versatile!

Available frozen year-round, it's the summer months when they are really at their peak. That's when you want to get them fresh and use them right away, or wash and freeze them (although frozen peas from the grocery store are great year-round). Cook them just briefly, to brighten the colour and soften them slightly. And if you're dealing with snow peas, you can eat the whole pod. Their sweetness in dishes is incomparable.
