Infused with cinnamon and cloves, a hot mug of this mulled Spiced Apple Cider will surely cure the chills on a cold winter's day. If so desired, fortify with a little apple brandy!
8 cups apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
Peel of 1 orange
1/2 cup apple brandy, or to taste (optional)
Add apple cider, cinnamon sticks, cloves and orange peel to large saucepan. Warm over medium heat until piping hot. Let cider mull over low heat until fragrant, about 10 to 15 minutes. Add apple brandy, if desired.
Yield: 8 servings.
