Sweet 'n' Spicy Candied Peanuts

Munch on these easy-to-make candied peanuts during the next big game. Be careful, they are addictive!


1 cup sugar
2 to 3 tbsp. water
2 cups peanuts (unsalted)
2 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. smoked salt
Pinch cinnamon
Pinch cayenne, or to taste


Add sugar and water to saucepan over medium heat. Cook until sugar melts and starts to boil, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add peanuts, kosher salt, smoked salt, cinnamon and cayenne. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar crystallizes (it will get sandy in texture.)

Transfer to baking sheet and let cool completely. Store in airtight container.

Yield: 2 cups.
