Sautéed Edamame

Edamame sautéed and topped with coarse sea salt creates this fun and healthy side dish that also makes a fun snack.


1 pound shelled frozen edamame
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Fleur de sel, to taste
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice


In a large saucepan, bring about 3 to 4 cups water to boil (you need enough water to cover the edamame). Generously season with salt. Add edamame and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain.

Heat olive oil in a large fry pan over medium high heat. When oil is hot, add edamame and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to serving dish and sprinkle with fleur de sel and lemon juice.

Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
