--one for the best dinner parties of the year!
I'm a busy guy, and don't often get to sit down with my friends and family. You know, to hang out and talk about what's going on in our lives, about something besides work. As much as the food is important, I think the company is just as important--actually the most important part.
Because it's a rare event, I make sure to go all-out. For the last dinner at my place, I did my shopping at the Jean Talon Market in Montreal. I live so close to it, it's almost in my backyard. My aunt and uncle and a good friend came over. I made my Stuffed Turkey Breast, Brussels Sprouts Sautéed with Sundried Tomatoes and Pine Nuts and for dessert I made grilled pineapple with brandy and maple syrup on the barbecue. And we drank great red wine. It was fun to sit down and enjoy good food and each other.
So remember, this year, treat Thanksgiving like your best dinner party. And try my versions of Thanksgiving classics. They might just become your family's new favourites.
