Councillor Wants Clarity On Home Business Bylaws

Many home businesses in Saint John are in violation of city zoning bylaws, but they pass without notice because there isn't a lot of traffic. Then there are those high-traffic illegal home businesses - like car and truck repair shops and hair salons - that upset neighbours. Ward Four Councillor Bruce Court wants to crack down on illegal businesses operating in residential zones.


To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
